My name is Garett, I’ve loved to cook since I was kid basically following mom around the kitchen. I never entertained the thought of actually cooking for a living so it’s always just been a bit of a pass time and hobby. I was gifted a big chief smoker just over 4 years ago by a friend and my wife for my birthday.
They weren’t sure if I was going to be in to making smoked plates so didn’t want to drop too much cash which makes sense! Fast forward to March of 2019 and many, many servings of brisket and ribs with this tin box wrapped in a wool blanket. I ended up melting the cord on the chief and decided it was time to get serious!
Purchased a black earth grill hybrid gas and pellet grill. It took some getting use to not having to deal with the pan and wood chips but I think I made the right decision! Almost two years later and even more briskets and ribs I felt it was time to start a channel and post some recipes! I’m pumped to be taking this to the next level! Thank you for tuning in!
